Walmart Labs
Senior Data Scientist
I joined
Walmart Labs in September 2018 and since then, I have been working on NLU systems for e-Commerce, please see
here or
here. Prior to that I was a lecturer in the School of Mathematical Sciences at RIT and a visiting faculty at the University of Colorado Denver. I have a Ph.D. degree in Discrete Mathematics with a focus on
Spectral and Algebraic Methods in Graph Theory and Combinatorics. I also have a Master’s degree in Computer Science with a focus on ML and NLP. Through my mathematical coursework, I learned about machine learning and in my Ph.D. projects I worked on graph theory, graph Laplacians and their applications to Computer Science. It’s exciting to see new applications of these concepts in the new areas of AI such as Knowlege Graphs (KG) and Graph Convolutional Neural Networks (GCNN).
